 Why Angus/Angus Cross Cattle?

We breed Angus and Angus/Hereford cross cattle, because in our opinion they are the best choice for a good quality product. Angus beef has one of the best marbling traits of all breeds of cattle. This typically creates a more tender, juicy and flavorful meat. For example, when you cross breed an Angus cow that has outstanding mothering abilities and a gentle disposition with a Hereford bull that has increased adaptability and great feed efficiency, the result is a high-quality finished product. These crosses are most commonly known as a Black Baldy. They also have a higher conception rate and longevity then that of purebred cattle. Another reason we chose to cross breed is for health reasons. There are higher chances of disease and mutation that can take place in purebred species. The Black Baldy has earned a reputation for being a healthier breed of cattle.
